		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;m a total bike maintenance/mechanics noob, so this may be a stupid question-- but can you not just mount the existing shifters and brake levers on the flat part of the road bar?  Of course, you wouldn&#039;t have brakes while on the drop bars...  

I have a Trek 7000 hybrid, sort of similar to this, and I have a 46cm set of drop handlebars that I want to put on it, but I don&#039;t want to spend a ton of money.  Do I really need new shifters and brake levers  If so, I guess I&#039;ll try to find some on Craigslist that are used...]]></description>
